At FabFitFun, we strive to provide you with a mix of new and exciting brands full of high-quality products that we know you’ll enjoy, which is why we’re thrilled to announce the FabFitFun Standard! The FabFitFun Standard raises the bar on our ever-evolving curation process by continuing to elevate our guidelines to deliver the best of the best to your doorstep.
This season, we are excited to introduce the Beauty Standard! We’re creating a list of ingredients that will not be found on the ingredients lists for any skincare, makeup, and body products in our boxes or sales beginning in Spring 2021.
Which ingredients will not be added to skincare, makeup, and body products?
- Coal Tar
- Triclosan and Triclocarban
- Methyl Cellosolve / 2-Methoxyethanol
- Mercury-Containing Organic Compound
- Butylated Hydroxyanisole that is greater than 0.1% of the total formula
- The following types of phthalates: DBP, DEHP, DINP, BBP, DMEP, DNPP, DIPP, PIPP, DNOP, DNHP
Some of these ingredients are subject to country and/or product-specific regulations. We rely on information from our vendors to comply with this FFF Standard.
Will more ingredients be added to the Beauty Standard list?
We’re just getting started! Keep an eye out for future updates to the list.
Does the Beauty Standard apply to international members?
Yes! All FabFitFun member’s beauty products will align with the Beauty Standard.
Will more categories be added to the FabFitFun Standard?
The Beauty Standard is only the beginning! We look forward to evolving this list and adding new categories in the future.
What about naturally occurring impurities that can be found in raw materials?
Heavy metals are natural and may be found in pigments and other raw materials at trace levels. These contaminants are restricted in cosmetics, and brands ensure that their products do not exceed the allowable trace level limits.
